2. Social Media:

Instagram and Twitter and blog feature

3. Occupation:

Project Assistant at Oasis: a marketing and event production company with clients such as Disney and Nickelodeon & Freelance DJ

4. Song that bolsters your self-confidence?

I have two. One that makes me feel sexy is Motivation by Kelly Rowland ft. Lil Wayne and another that pumps me up/makes me happy is Oui by Jeremih.

5. Who do you aspire to be?

I aspire to be a full time world traveler. Ever since I studied abroad, my eyes were opened to so many different ways of life. I want to experience more and all that the world has to offer. I want my family members and closest friends to be able to experience the world with me as well. I feel the more well traveled a person is, the better understanding they have of who they are and what they want to be. There are just so many things we cannot encounter in our city, state, or even coast and no one should be limited to those. We need to branch out to the unfamiliar and immerse ourselves into new environments.

6. What motivates you when you're not inspired?

When I am uninspired, reading self discovery books help. My favorites are Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Both books talk about a person who gets out of their comfort zone and pushes their limits to find out what they truly want and who they truly are. Real inspirational stuff. Check them out.

Also, traveling to a new/different place helps. It allows you to get out of your ordinary environment, embrace a change of scenery, and get new energy flowing.

7. What empowers you as a woman to push through everyday obstacles?

I am empowered by the fact that we are all in this together. Other women are dealing with the same struggles that I go through/have been through OR more intense struggles and somehow, some way, they STILL find ways to excel and kill it.

Take a moment to think about women in your life who have exhibited BOTH bravery and grace while handling the toughest situations. That should be empowering in and of itself, and give you courage to keep going and hope that you will be in a better place soon.

Furthermore, us women have a power: we are more in tune with ourselves and our surroundings than men can ever be or even fathom. Don't be afraid to confront your emotions, BE ONE with them. Use your emotional intelligence to your advantage. Let your emotions guide you to the right decisions. Once you tap into them, you will always be doing what is best for you.

8. What advice would you give to girls who want to be leaders?

First and foremost, focus on yourself. Always think about what you can do better and how you can improve yourself and your situation. Love yourself and really know yourself. Achieving that will allow you to unlock your true potential. You must trust your instincts and believe in your abilities. To get to where you want to be, you have to keep finding ways to get you there. Even if you are making small steps, continue making moves and you will make progress. I believe being a leader is not listening to anyone else, but yourself and being proactive about creating the path that will lead you to your goals and dreams.

9. Who influences your creativity?

Anyone can influence my creativity. I like to read about or see what others are doing on Instagram or other platforms. What I see or read about usually inspires me to try it for myself or leads me to come up with my own idea. I strive to stay as open to new opportunities as I can and I usually give everything a shot in order to expand my knowledge and add it to my list of experiences.

Being able to talk to people helps as well. I enjoy talking about life, memories, and experiences with friends or even strangers. I learn from others and take things from conversations that I can apply to my own life and use to help me get out of a funk or see things from another perspective. I always say that whenever you are feeling any type of negativity, even slightly, talk to a loved one who knows you well. Sometimes we get stuck - in our head, in our feels, in the past - and we just need someone to remind us of the positives, give us that push, and fuel inspiration and motivation.

10. What projects are you currently working on or want to get started on?

A project that I have been trying to get started is releasing my own mixtape. In addition to that, I want to produce an event to highlight legitimate DJs who really throw down the cuts and create a vibe that makes you feel invincible on the dance floor. Thirdly, I have been trying to draw more. I have a folder of sketches I made from the last four years. People have told me I should get them printed on clothing, which would be dope.

But a last note - no one can be amazing at everything, but the point of life - to me, and my personal goal is to try to practice and improve on things I actually enjoy doing. Yes, the first step is to be open to trying new things. The second is, once you've determined what things you do enjoy, keep doing them throughout your life until you no longer enjoy it. There are countless things a person can experience and do; no one should ever be bored or uninspired. Push yourself to DO something and more often than not, you'll be hella glad you did. I strive to live a productive life and I feel everyone should as well. Get things done, move forward, and you'll prosper.
